Setup Instructions

Installing the hardware and configuring it to use our broadband is quick and easy. Once your account and line are active simply follow the instructions below. You can email or call our technical support team for assistance should you need it.

Note: Every telephone point in the house that is currently in use must have a filter connected. Not just the point your modem connects to. A specific RJ-11 cable must be used if you require an extension lead.

What are my modem settings?

You should set up your ADSL router or modem to the following specifications:

Dial up user name: username@dsl.uk.net
Password: xxxxx (your password)
VPI = 0 (zero)
VCI = 38
Encapsulation Mode = PPP Over ATM
ADSL Modulation = G.DMT

What are my email server addresses?

Note: We do not supply email services by default with ADSL accounts. Email services are available as a bolt on package.

Incoming Mail Server: pop1.nsnoc.com
Outgoing Mail Server: relay.nsnoc.com
Email user name: username@domain.com (replace username and domain.com)
Password: xxxxx (your password)

What is my IP Address?

IP addresses are automatically assigned.

What are my Name Server addresses?

Primary DNS: Automatically assigned.
Secondary DNS: Automatically assigned.
